The Nazaré Lighthouse stands in one of the most recognisable landscapes of the Portuguese coast, where the headland meets the Atlantic and the scale of the ocean becomes impossible to ignore. It is a place shaped by wind, light, rock and the constant movement of the sea.
I photographed the lighthouse and its surroundings as part of a casual visit to Nazaré, paying attention not only to the building itself but also to the relationship between architecture and landscape. The strong geometry of the fort and lighthouse contrasts with the irregular coastline, while people, waves and changing light continuously transform the scene.
These photographs are not intended as a complete record of the place. They are a personal selection of moments, details and viewpoints gathered while walking around the headland — a simple visual note of a familiar place seen again through the camera.

O Farol da Nazaré encontra-se numa das paisagens mais reconhecíveis da costa portuguesa, num ponto onde o promontório encontra o Atlântico e onde a escala do oceano se torna impossível de ignorar. É um lugar marcado pelo vento, pela luz, pela rocha e pelo movimento constante do mar.
Fotografei o farol e a sua envolvente durante uma passagem pela Nazaré, procurando observar não apenas o edifício, mas também a relação entre arquitetura e paisagem. A geometria forte do forte e do farol contrasta com a irregularidade da costa, enquanto as pessoas, as ondas e a mudança da luz transformam continuamente o cenário.
